Time to Listen

The NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit has developed Time to Listen (TTL), a training programme specifically for people who have a designated role in safeguarding within a sports setting. This new multi-sport training is delivered by Wiltshire and Swindon Sport and is available to clubs in the county.   

TTL is a training course designed to equip designated persons at various levels within sporting organisations to fulfil their safeguarding responsibilities to children. This training is aimed at those who are designated club welfare officers and will cover all the essential elements of undertaking this key role. The training will include:

Participants should have undertaken either the UK Coaching Safeguarding and Protecting Children or Local Authority equivalent awareness training. Reading  Writing Icon  This workshop involves a moderate amount of reading and minimal writing. 

Physical Elements Icon  This workshop is seated and involves minimal physical activity

Angling, Boccia, Bowls, Fencing, Shooting, Water Ski, Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair  Rugby, Badminton, Baseball, Canoeing, Rowing, Equestrian, Gymnastics, Judo,  Mountaineering, Triathlon, Wrestling, Weight Lifting, Golf, basketball, Netball, Squash, Lacrosse, Table Tennis, Pentathlon, Yachting, Rugby Football League, Snowsport, Volleyball, Archery, Rounders and Swimming.  We advise you to check whether our course is accepted by your NGB.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE 20/03/2020:

In line with current government advice regarding social distancing, we have taken the decision to postpone all of our face-to-face workshops until further notice.  An online version of this course is now available and will be run via Zoom.
