Age UK are recruiting volunteers for their 'Fitness and Friendship' Clubs
We will train you, free of charge, to be a LIFT (low impact functional training) leader. This will give you all the necessary skills to run a club that helps to keep older people active, healthy, happy and involved in their community. You will become part of a caring and dynamic team of staff and volunteers within Age UK Wiltshire.
Age UK Wiltshire Volunteer Training Bursary
The aim of the bursary scheme is to assist with increasing capacity within our Fitness and Friendship clubs for older people by providing an increase in the number of qualified physical activity leaders/club organisers within Wiltshire & Swindon.
Who can apply?
Any individual who wants to gain a recognised qualification in physical activity for older people and is willing to commit 2/3 hours a fortnight of their own time to run a local Fitness and Friendship club, with on-going support from Age UK Wiltshire’s Active Ageing Team. Applicants should be resident in Wiltshire or Swindon and be using their qualification within the county.
