Great performances at the Gymnastics School Games L3 Competition

Last of the Winter School Games was held at The Wiltshire School of Gymnastics center in Melksham, which was a perfect location for such an event.

The 11 Schools represented at this county level 3 competition were all thrilled with the opportunity for their students to perform in Beginner, Intermediate and Advance levels on the floor and the vault.

Each level has both individual and team awards with an overall team competition awarded to Malmesbury School with John of Gaunt second and Kingdown in third place.

Thanks goes to the organisers on the day and judges who were from The Wiltshire School of Gymnastics and West Wiltshire Gymnastics along with some of the pupils form Malmesbury School. We really could not hold these events without volunteer support and the young leaders from the schools.

The atmosphere was great with a real buzz of excitement. The Gymnasts showed sportsmanship supporting not only their fellow team mates but being very courteous to others performers while they were competing.

There was a good mix of experienced gymnasts from local clubs as well as those with less experience but everyone was really understanding and learnt a lot from each other.
